What makes this state just a great place to live?

There are too many things to list. I lived here for 9 years and really felt that I had found my "home". However, due to some personal reasons I had to leave for awhile (topic of future post). Now after almost 2 years of bouncing around Norcal and Western Wisconsin I find myself ready to move back "home".
