Holy crap! My hops have broken the surface with some growth! I'm so excited to see that both of them are going strong. While I'm pretty sure I won't get any harvestable hops this year (especially since they are in large pots) I hope to get lots of vigorous growth for out on the patio.
So I've been brewing a LOT of beer. I'm starting to contemplate going all-grain but we'll see how long I can hold out.
Yayayayaya...

Changes
Yesterday I was sitting along the shore of Boulder Resevoir, the sun was out with the temps hovering in the mid sixties, it was a beautiful day. Spring fever was hitting me full force. I started planning bike trips, hiking trips, etc.
...then I woke up this morning and opened the blinds.

Namesake Tavern Deep Thoughts
Ok so here is the thought:
If your life was infinite AND you knew that you would live infinitely long, would you experience more of your dreams (ie. walk the wall of china, climb everest, etc.)?
...I won't take your first answer. Just think about it for a minute.
Ok, now?
I say that the answer is NO. Why? Because you will find that as your life becomes longer, the value of what can be accomplished within it becomes less. Thus as you get closer and closer to infinite time, those activities/experiences have less and less value. Since we have a tendency to only do those activities that we see has having value, we will choose to do less and less activities. At the point that we understand our lives to be infinite, we will cease to perform any activity. Hell, I even go so far as to say that we will see to even do those activities that "sustain our lives" (although it won't matter since our lives will be infinitely long).
What the fuck do you think?
...thanks goes to Todd "the drywaller" Gremling for this one!

Birth,Death,Rebirth
Ever feel like you have done this all before? Ever look past the current reflection state and whonder how many times you have done this before? I am.
I live in a particular context until an event occurs that requires reflection. The reflection reveals truths about my existence that I find profound. Afterwhich, I fall back into a new context until the next reflection state.
Weird or just life?
